Join the Village of Blowing Rock for the Blowing Rock NC Winterfest Festival as we celebrate the incredibly fun side of winter at this 10th annual Winterfest. This is one of the Blowing Rock Events that you just won't forget. While you are staying at one of the many Accomodations in Blowing Rock NC, you will have a ton of options to choose from. There is the wine auction at Meadowbrook Inn, the Ice Carving competing at Blowing Rock Park, the Live Bluegrass, the Chili Cook-Off, the Polar Plunge in Chetola Lake, and the Kids' Activities. There is definitely something for everyone in the family. The City of Blowing Rock NC is very proud of this event, and as they should be. It is a blast and is close to all of the Blowing Rock amenities and restaurants. Woodlands Blowing Rock NC is infamous in the area and offer some of the best BBQ that North Carolina has to offer. Blowing Rock North Carolina is a short drive over to Mitchell County NC which is home to Spruce Pine North Carolina.

| High Country Chili Cook Off in Beech Mountain NC |

Come join the first annual High Country Chili Cook Off at the Buckeye Recreation Center in Beech Mountain NC. This Beech Mountain NC Event will be divided into categories of individuals and businesses participating is making all types of chili. The entry fee for participation in the Beech Mountain North Carolina Chili Cook Off is free.The Chili Cook Off organizers simply ask that participants bring at least two gallons of Chili so there will be enough for everyone to have a taste. This is a Beech Mountain NC community judged chili contest, so may be best chili win! The snow and cold winter air makes Beech Mountain Weather perfect for people visiting Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The Beech Mountain NC Chili Cook Off will feature a live bluegrass band and over $300 in prizes. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each chili catageory. There will also be a "Best Cook's Costume" to those with the most creative Chili Cook Off outfits. Make sure to come by and see some of the other great local towns like Spruce Pine NC and Bakersville North Carolina while you are in the area.
